Central Search is currently looking for a General Counsel for a holding company in Russia.
The role is based in Moscow. The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing all aspects of the legal division of the company.
The holding is comprised of a diversified portfolio of assets across real estate, financial services and retail.
The role involves managing the existing team, hiring new team members, and leading all legal elements across M&A, assets sales, securities trading, litigation, and process management.
We envisage at least 8-10 years of experience in a combination of in-house and work in a law firm. We are also open to more experienced candidates with more than 10 years of experience.
We will consider candidates from a range of backgrounds. Fluent English is essential, as is a broad working knowledge of the Common Law. For any candidates who have worked mainly in Western Europe, knowledge of the Russian Civil Code, and at least a working knowledge of the Russian language is essential.
Candidates shall have enquiring minds, strong commercial skills, and a passion for the Law.
