Well-renowned Western Financial & Insurance Services Group (a public company) is searching for Chief Financial Officer for its insurance business (motor retail, incl., OMTPL) in Russia.
SUMMARY:
• To optimize the overall financial function of the Company by providing financial direction, advice, management and control in line with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify opportunities to exploit increased synergy and standardization of financial processes, practices and services;
• To improve the effectiveness and / or efficiency of regional financial capabilities, processes, practices and / or services;
• Ensure appropriate reserving and the continued availability of capital to meet agreed business priorities and satisfy all relevant regulatory requirements;
• Ensure the development and application of technical pricing models, ensuring an appropriate balance between risk and the commercial drivers of growth;
• Lead the management of regional investments to ensure strategy and performance meet the Group’s capital needs and appetite for risk and performance expectations;
• Direct the development and operation of regional financial management information, analyses and reporting framework;
• Lead the development and operation of a proportionate regional financial control environment that ensures:
- Legislative and regulatory compliance, incl., FSIS and RSA reporting,
- Financial risks are well managed in line with good practice,
- Awareness of and adherence to good financial practice;
• Monitor regional performance against agreed plans, targets and budgets;
• Contribute to the identification, planning and execution of regional transactions (e.g., mergers, disposals, acquisitions, etc.), to ensure outcomes are in line with commercial and financial expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• MBA, qualified accountant and / or equivalent with a range of experience in line and / or consulting roles, ideally with international dimensions;
• Relevant experience in the financial services industry at management level;
• Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry’s strategy, business models and international operations;
• Proven successful track record in financial planning and analyses, policies, practice and methods of financial function within non-life / P&C insurance organization, preferably in respect of motor retail, both voluntary and obligatory types;
• Knowledge and experience in managing of the following functions: financial planning, accountancy (both RAP and IAS), business performance management, budget management, stakeholder management, relationship management (at senior levels);
• Good team player and leader with outstanding communication skills (oral, written and presentations).
